We’re excited to offer our popular Occupational Therapy (OT) groups to families during school holidays (and limited availability during term). Intensive group therapy programs can be a great complement to existing OT programs. The intensive framework (including group programs) is well-suited for families seeking a boost in a particular area of focus.

School Readiness

Get set for big school with our School Readiness Group! Through fun activities like name recognition, group time, stories, snacks, and creative crafts, children will build confidence, social skills, and independence to help them thrive in the classroom.

This group is targeted at supporting school readiness beyond academics for children entering kindergarten in 2026.

High School Readiness

Preparing for a Successful Transition to High School!

Starting high school can be exciting, but also a bit overwhelming. Our High School Readiness Social Group is designed to help students entering high school in 2025 build the skills they need for success—both in and out of the classroom.

This group is perfect for any student who wants to feel more prepared and confident as they take the next big step in their academic journey!

 

Dinosaur Dig Group

Roar into adventure with our Dinosaur Dig Group- a hands-on fossil hunt packed with prehistoric games and activities that spark curiosity, build teamwork, and make learning roar-some for children aged 5–8.

Mission Possible!

Join our Mission Possible adventure- where kids become problem-solving heroes through scavenger hunts, escape-room challenges, and exciting building missions. These activities are designed to boost organisation, flexible thinking, and other executive function skills  such as working memory, planning, and sequencing.

Dance Group

Looking for a fun and supportive way for your child to move, connect, and learn these holidays? Our Holiday Dance Group is designed especially for children aged 8-10 and offers a fantastic opportunity to build bilateral coordination, develop a sense of rhythm, and practise important social skills, all through fun dance routines and playful movement games.

Sensory Explorers

Set off on a Sensory Explorers journey- filled with messy play, obstacle courses, heavy work relays, and movement songs designed to help children discover their sensory profile. Through these activities, children will explore what sensory inputs they are drawn to or may find aversive, and learn how different intensity, frequency, and duration of input supports them to attain and maintain an optimal state of arousal.

Teen Social Group

Our Teen OT Social Group Intensive offers a dynamic week-long program designed to get teens (aged 13+) off screens, out of their comfort zones, and into meaningful shared experiences. Through team challenges, active games, and creative tasks, participants practise flexible thinking, communication, and self-regulation.

Mini Makers

A fun, hands-on craft group designed to spark creativity while building fine motor skills. Each session invites children to explore activities like beading, threading, drawing, and origami. Perfect for strengthening hand-eye coordination, finger strength, and precision.

Ninja Moves

Ninja Moves is a motor-planning focused social group that will get kids ready to leap, balance, and problem-solve like a true ninja! Participants will engage in themed activities and obstacle challenges that encourage creative problem-solving, body awareness, and coordinated movement. 

Kicking Goals: Mini Strikers

Our Soccer Skills School Holiday Program is designed to help children develop a range of important abilities in a fun and supportive setting. The group will focus on enhancing gross motor skills, building social skills, learning how to win and lose gracefully, practising cooperative play, understanding and following the rules of the game, and working effectively as a team. 

MoveAbout's Got Talent

Rooted in play and creativity, this group offers a joyful and safe space to explore storytelling, build friendships, and strengthen key developmental skills through drama and movement. Each session will include structured and playful drama games, collaborative improvisation, and the co-creation of a short performance piece.

Learn to Ride

Our Bike Riding Social Group is designed to help kids aged 6-10 years build confidence, coordination, and friendships on two wheels! In a safe and supportive environment, children will participate in fun group rides, riding games, and bike-based challenges while developing key physical and social skills. 

Whole Body Handwriting

Finding handwriting challenging?

Join our Whole Body Handwriting group intensive in these School Holidays!

This fun and engaging group has been designed to provide a sensory motor learning approach to building handwriting abilities.

Children will engage in a range of gross and fine motor activities with peers that support letter formation and fine motor abilities.

Brick Builders

Our Brick Builder Group is a hands-on, fun, and interactive experience designed to help children build essential social and fine motor skills!

Through collaborative building challenges, kids will learn teamwork, communication, and problem-solving while strengthening their hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

Each session provides a safe, engaging environment where children practice turn-taking, following instructions, and working together. Perfect for kids looking to boost their confidence, improve social interactions, and develop fine motor skills in a playful and supportive setting

Interest Led Social Groups

Our interest led social groups support children to expand and develop their engagement and interaction skills, social communication skills, and social problem-solving skills.

These groups are a blast for our kids as they get to engage and have fun with like-minded kids who enjoy the same things they do!

We take time to ensure that our social groups are well-matched, so dates and times will depend on interest and will be advised at a later date.

This group focuses on the enjoyment of food, supporting children to feel safe to explore food, with the benefit of feeling motivated by playing alongside peers.

Teen Cooking Group

Empower your teen with essential life skills in our Teen Cooking Group!

MoveAbout's Teen Cooking Group is perfect for teens looking to gain cooking skills, expand sensory tolerance, and improve focus and coordination.

Join us to cook, connect, and cultivate confidence

 

Teen Girls Cafe

Dive into the culinary arts and social skills with our engaging Café Group for ages 11 and up.

Learn food preparation, enhance planning and sequencing abilities, and practise social skills like taking orders, serving food, and managing money.

Make new friends, develop valuable skills, and enjoy the satisfaction of serving your culinary creations.

Mini MasterChefs

The Mini MasterChef Group is designed for children ages 4-6, and will focus on improving feeding skills while also introducing basic cooking activities in a fun, hands-on way.

This group will combine feeding therapy activities with simple, age-appropriate cooking tasks to help children develop:

  • Trying new foods in a fun, engaging way
  • Increasing exploration with different textures, tastes, and smells
  • Gaining a sense of pride by helping to create simple meals
  • Exposure to a variety of textures and tastes to expand food preferences

Beaker Kids Group

Is your child learning to navigate their emotions and sensory experiences?

Our group, based on The Beaker Kids by Shanna Philipson, provides a fun, supportive environment for children to explore emotional, social and sensory processing.

Through lovable beaker characters, kids learn to appreciate each person’s unique way of handling emotions and sensory input.

This group offers a safe space where children can connect, build coping skills, and practice staying calm without “boiling over” when emotions or sensory stimuli become overwhelming.

 

STEM-Themed Boys Social Group

Our STEM Social Group is the perfect opportunity for boys ages 8-10 to work together on cool projects within a social context—all while diving into hands-on STEM activities!

In this group, we’ll combine social development with creative STEM challenges, giving participants a chance to:

  • Communicate
  • Explore STEM
  • Boost Confidence

 

Recess Readiness

The Recess Readiness group prepares kids for unstructured school times, such as recess and lunch, by using their lunch boxes and playing popular playground games with peers.

This group is targeted at supporting school readiness beyond academics for children entering kindergarten in 2025.
