Make Your Voice Heard- Thriving Kids

Protect the supports our kids need

Families across Australia are uniting in concern about the proposed Thriving Kids program, which risks replacing NDIS-funded, evidence-based therapies with a one-size-fits-all model.

Autism and other developmental differences are lifelong. Children deserve therapy that is individualised, grounded in evidence, and responsive to their unique strengths and needs-  not short-term programs that cannot provide the continuity or outcomes families rely on.

The Government has announced the “Thriving Kids” program. While the intention may be to improve services, the current proposal creates real risks for children and families, including:

  • Losing or having reduced access to NDIS-funded therapy that children rely on
  • Overlooking the fact that autism and other developmental differences require lifelong support
  • Adding further strain to families who are already doing their best with limited resources

In our clinic, children are already accessing individualised, evidence-based therapy that is making a real difference. We ask: why replace what is working with an untested, one-size-fits-all system?

We are asking you to share your story!

When families speak up together, decision-makers listen. Your story helps show MPs and Ministers the real-life impact of these changes:

  • What supports your child currently receives
  • How these supports have helped
  • What will happen if they are removed

By filling in the form below, your message will be sent directly to Mark Butler (the Minister for Health and Ageing, Disability and the NDIS), Jenny McAllister (Minister for the NDIS), and your local MP.
